Weight On Wednesday- Shakeology!

HI FRIENDS!
It’s been a crazy  busy past 2 days, but I’ve finally managed to sit down and update all of my wonderful friends!
So for those of you who have been reading my blog for awhile, you know that sometimes on Wednesdays, I will weigh in on health and fitness in my personal life. With that being said, I’m happy to say that I’m down, 1.5 pounds since last Wednesday! I’m very happy about that since I officially didn’t start making better food choices until Monday evening. I’ve been consistently going to Zumba this week, attempting to push myself harder when working out, and trying to consume more healthy foods in my diet. I’m still trying to find new things to add to my diet, therefore I was thrilled when my Zumba instructor (love her) gave me a sample of Shakeology. She loves the stuff along with millions of others, and for that reason I just had to try!

This morning, I decided it was time to try Shakeology. It was quite easy to make! I combined 8 oz of 2% milk (you can also use water), half of a Banana, a tsp of Cinnamon, and Ice. I put all the ingredients in my Ninja Mixer and it mixed so easily! I decided to add just a little bit more milk to take some of the richness of the Chocolate out. After tasting it, I was pleasantly suprised about how creamy it was and how well it blended. It actually took me no time to get it down, and that’s a plus for me since you all know how long it takes me to consume Oatmeal! I also loved that it didn’t have a chalky taste nor some bad after taste. My husband and friends will tell you, I can be very picky and I actually enjoyed it. I could see myself replacing a few breakfast meals a week for this protein drink. The only thing is, mine was quite bland, but I blame it on me adding additional milk and Ice. I believe with the right recipe, maybe even a tsp of peanut butter every now and then, this protein shake could be absolutely delicious! Another thing is, with all the health benefits, I’m thinking why not? According to the main website, Shakeology:

A few of my Z Chics (Zumba friends) are thinking about taking a 30 day challenge of Shakeology to improve their overall health and see what results they get. I’m thinking of purchasing it myself, just to see how much of a difference it makes as a part of my diet lifestyle. I’m not paid by Beachbody or given any benefit in reviewing this product, and I think that is important when giving you my honest thoughts and review of this product.  I’ve always wanted to try it due to the fact a lot of my friends are huge supporters of this stuff, and if you just look at their Facebook page,  it doesn’t take too much convincing to do! I mean look what it’s compared to!


Pretty Neat Right? I think so too! It would help me out a lot since I personally don’t like to just eat Fruits and Veggies all day (lol)
I haven’t decided if I want to do Shakeology 3 days a week for the month of February or not yet. It would be cool though to go on a Shakeology Challenge, and see what results I get. I don’t know. I’m not exactly sure yet what I want to do! Whatever it is, I will share it with you!!
I have many friends that know a lot about Shakeology, and you can even get really cool recipes off of the website. If you are interested and would like more information about Shakeology, let me know! If you are interested in possibly trying it for yourself and seeing what it taste like, let me know that as well! I have several friends that would probably be more than willing to help you!  I think you have to truly judge the product for yourself to see if it is something that would work for you, but I don’t think you will be disappointed!

So what should I do? Should I try to incorporate it and see what happens? What are your thoughts? Would you like to try it? Please let me know!

P.S.- Be on the lookout for my review of the Greenberry Shakeology. I’m a bit nervous because my friend Amber said it taste like Hamster food, but I want to give it a try as well! Ill keep ya posted!

    I think you should totally go for it. If its not for you, then you will find out, but its worth trying. My cousin, who is 46, has four strapping boys ranging in age from 3 to 23 and she is a Beachbody representative and Shakeology nut. In the last two years, she has totally reshaped her body. She looks like a supermodel, but not the skinny, scary kind. She could easily model for beach volleyball or any athletic equipment. It is amazing! She is constantly posting yummy, healthy recipes on her facebook page and she is a positive, friendly person. Not at all pushy. If I had money, I would be on that train in a heartbeat. Go for it!
