A Gaze

19 Jan

So last night I FINALLY finished the movie, 8MM. It was actually good! I think it took me 3 days to watch it simply because watching movies right before bedtime typically do not work for me. As I was flipping through channels briefly in bed, I saw that “Jumping The Broom” was coming on. I went to see this movie with some friends when it first hit the theaters, but somehow I missed the very beginning scene where Mr Prince Charming proposes! No worries! I didn’t spoil the movie! I’m thinking most of you know that since it is called “Jumping the Broom”, someone is obviously getting married! Well in the scene they are talking and he is confessing his love for her, Then came the glaze.
Not just a look.
A GAZE.

Another Gaze

The direct eye contact with a hint of a smile and flushed cheeks that say “I don’t want to be anywhere but right here with you because I love you, and I want to spend my life with you”. Immediately, I felt all warm and smiled and looked over at my sleeping husband. He was so peaceful, and I looked up to God and whispered, “Thank You”.

You see. Gazing at the one you love and them returning that gaze is a wonderful feeling. Also, gazing at someone or something that you love makes you very appreciative. Sometimes I look up at the sky and how beautiful it is, and I’m thankful that I’m here to see it. Sometimes I look at my family members, my friends and their children. I hear their laughter, I see their smiles, and I’m thankful. It immediately gives me the rush of everything that has happened and led me to the moment or experiences I’ve had with them. When I look at my husband, I see our online friendship, our long distance relationship, our wedding day, and our life. It all flashes before me in an instant.  This instant flash leads me to giving God thanks for it all!!!!

What about you? What is it that you gaze at that makes you just so grateful and appreciative? Also, have you had that gaze from a loved one before? If not, I wish this moment for you. I hope that you have someone look at you with such love and admiration.  It’s an awesome feeling! It is also just wonderful to be thankful of things and moments around you. It doesn’t have to be someone, it could be something: a beautiful sunset, a flower, or anything. It doesn’t even have to be seen, it could be heard: a whisper, a beautiful song, etc. Whatever it is, take the time to be thankful for it and appreciative.  I’m sure appreciative of you 🙂

Until Next Time, Much Love, Mrs. SPJ 🙂

I never know what you will be talking about. I never thought about how I gaze at someone. I guess I will from now on. Thanks!
